as an obama supporter, i hate it when people just suppose i voted for him because i'm young and naive and got suckered in by his idealistic talk about hope and change. i know snl is all jokes, but the idea that women vote for obama because oprah tells them to mimics many peoples' feelings about obama's "rockstar" celebrity status.
actually, i did take this race seriously, and i originally supported biden, but i like obama because he gets his money from the right places, and he had the judgement to speak out against the war, and i agree with him on most issues, including healthcare, and i think he has just as much experience as hillary, but he has a better kind of experience. and while i hate to vote based on electability, i think he has a better chance of defeating mccain. (and a whole lot of other reasons that would take a while to list.) and i don't think hillary is a bitch.
so i really hope people start to look beyond the stereotype that obama supporters don't know enough about the candidates and look at superficialities. because most of the obama supporters that i know have looked at the issues and watched the debates and thought long and hard before choosing him at the iowa caucuses and their home elections.
